Walk + Roll Events
We hold Walk + Roll events throughout the year to encourage walking and rolling to school. Rolling means using any device that has wheels but doesn’t have a motor—such as a bicycle, a scooter, a skateboard, rollerblades, roller skates, or a wheelchair—for transportation.
Our Walk + Roll events include:
Walking Buses
Walking School Buses: A walking bus is a group of students, family members, school staff, and community leaders that walk together along a route to school.
This alleviates car congestion in school zones. Students can practice pedestrian safety tools and skills.
