Tania Perfecto

As a child growing up in the Willamette Valley, Tania Perfecto created fond memories on her routes to and from school. She reflects on her childhood as she hopes to educate and advocate for multimodal safety and access throughout Salem-Keizer. As a first-generation Chicana, Tania graduated from the University of Oregon in 2021 with a double Bachelor of Arts. Where she then married her college sweetheart heart Angel, and now lives in Salem-Keizer with him and their two kids. She is proud to be an active resource in her community and is happy to be a part of Safe Routes to School and the Mid-Willamette Valley Council of Governments.

Meredith Hegewald

Meredith Hegewald has been a resident of Salem-Keizer for her entire life and has many fond memories of her school years. She cares deeply about the safety and happiness of our students and hopes to help make our streets safer and more accessible. After graduating from South Salem High School in 2019, she went on to attain a sociology degree from Western Oregon University. She is excited to be the new program assistant for Salem-Keizer Safe Routes to School and hopes to help the program flourish.

Jacob Lippert

Jacob Lippert started with the MWVCOG in January 2025 to assist with the Bicycle Safety Education program. Jacob got his degree in Forestry at Northern Arizona University and raced for his colleges cycling team. During his undergrad, Jacob also worked at the local bike shop and coached for the local elementary development team FLYRS. Jacob is looking forward to continuing to teach cycling skills, advocate for bike safety, and spread the joy of cycling in his new community of Salem, OR.
