Are you interested in having Salem-Keizer Safe Routes to School at your school? Here are some ways to make it happen:
Contact your Salem-Keizer Public School and express your interest directly to the administration. Set a time to speak with the school principal to see what capacity their school has for engagement or education opportunities.
If available, as a parent/guardian, attend the school’s Parent Teacher Organization and engage with other parents/guardians to advocate for education and engagement opportunities throughout the school year. All events must be approved by school administration.
Contact SK-SRTS staff directly with any questions or concerns regarding school participation.
How to volunteer with Safe Routes to School?
Step 1: Complete the Salem-Keizer School District (SKSD) Adult Volunteer Application and Background Check.
Step 2: Forward SKSD volunteer approval email to srts@mwvcog.org. If you have been approved in the past contact SK-SRTS team to ensure your status and expiration date with SKSD.
Step 3: Receive SK-SRTS volunteer packet via email to finish volunteer process.
